DJ Daisley & Sons Pty Ltd

Poor outcome and after sales service. Didn't resolve leaks. Stay away from this company. They were polite and helpful up until I had issues and then changed to dismissive and evasive. At the time I engaged DJ Daisley for help I had a leak in my roof for 10 years that I couldn't locate, since I bought the house ,so decided to get the roof looked at and repointed. DJ Daisley quoted to repoint the roof, put sarking in one part of the roof (that, by the way, didn't have any leaks) and two new valleys to replace those obviously rusted out. After finishing the job and being paid I called them up soon after since the leak was still there. They came out to look but quickly disavowed any responsibility, blaming some rubber boots installed over roof extender brackets as part of a deck roof, despite me telling them that the leak pre-dated the deck roof and they were already there before DJ Daisley did the work. There was no mention of any issues with the boots when they did the work. To add insult to injury they grabbed my ladder to use without asking and then complained about its quality. Would have thought they'd bring their own ladder and it was irritating to then whine about mine? So I didn't call again when over subsequent years I had more , admittedly small leaks where none existed before. In the mean time had solar panels installed (on the roof area they sarked and never had an issue with even prior to their work) so I presumed they would just use that as more ammunition to shift any blame. Then COVID happened and we all had bigger things to worry about for a while. I noted looking back at the paperwork they only offered 2 years warranty on their workmanship which in hind sight seems not to show much faith in their own work. Should I have my roof re-pointed every 2 years? I emailed recently to explain the situation and Daniel Daisley told me I was angry and my emails were too long (1 page) and I should go elsewhere. I was only trying to explain and ask what they were willing to do. I had other roofers look and they advised me the work was substandard and that I should contact DJ Daisley. I tried to be polite and explain I wasn’t angry but frustrated and looking for advice. I never once said I expected them to do anything for free but Daniel Daisley just kept telling me how angry I was and after the second email in which I said I wasn’t angry he told me again I was angry and should go elsewhere. Well at that point I was angry so he ended up making himself right in the end! So in conclusion after more than $10,000 spent I still had and today have the same leak I was trying to solve. 7 years later still trying to solve the same issues they didn't fix. Thanks for nothing DJ Daisley!
